The success of an organization or program often depends on its volunteers.  K-State Research and Extension and the Kansas Department of Commerce, as part of their partnership in the Kansas PRIDE Program, have developed a Leadership Toolkit to help communities with volunteer recruitment, retention, placement, and training.  While this toolkit works well in grass roots community organizations like the Kansas PRIDE Program, it also can also benefit any Extension program that utilizes volunteers.  The “Equipping Volunteers for Program Success” presentation will highlight each of the five Leadership Toolkit modules and provide a full presentation of the Volunteer Recruitment and Retention module.
